Backbone Entertainment é uma desenvolvedora americana fundada em 2003.
É responsável por jogos como Monster Lab, Age of Empires: The Age of Kings, Phantasy Star II, Charlotte's Web, Dogz, The Spiderwick Chronicles, Charlotte's Web, Sonic Rivals 2, Dance Central 3 e Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection.
Se juntou com a desenvolvedora The Collective para formar a Foundation 9 Entertainment em 2005.
Em 2015 a Foundation 9 acabou sendo fechada quando a diretoria resolveu dissolver a companhia.
